George Tsinos

George Tsinos serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of ETHNIKI INSURANCE Company and its subsidiaries. He oversees the information security program at Ethniki and reports directly to the CEO, with additional reporting responsibilities to the Board of Directors.
He possesses extensive experience in IT, networking, databases, and security across various platforms, including mainframes. He has contributed to key projects such as Relocation, Solvency II, SOX, GDPR, and Y2K. His previous positions include roles at General Bank, Kapatel, OTE, and co-founding the CONNECT seminar company.
He has taught at the University of Athens, in community programs, as an external instructor for IBM in Greece and Cyprus, in the Hellenic Mathematical Society, and in high school tutorials. He has numerous publications in magazines and has spoken at conferences on IT Governance, GDPR, Information Security, and Cyber Insurance.
He holds an MSc in Computer Science from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, and a BSc in Physics from the University of Crete. He possesses the following certifications: CII (Insurance), CISA (Audit), CISM (Security Management), CRISK (Risk Management), CSX (F), ITIL (F) (IT Operations), and ISO27001:2022 LA.
